C'mon ... just a bunch of folks all dressed up looking festive, and having fun*. Oh, you say, looks a lot like the arrangement of the Last Supper. C'mon ... lots of people sit at tables . Besides that Blue Man clearly is a Dionysian reference. You be seeing things! C'mon. Besides, you Christians, wake the fuck up. Such easily offended Karens. We wanna be who we are, not who you want us to be. Be like Christ? They killed him ... who wants that?

Stop. So you say that group is not a representation of the Last Supper, but the Blue Man is a representation of a  f#@king  Dionesian orgy?  You wanna have it both ways? Or, it seems, you wanna have it any way you wanna have it. And, if enough people wanna have it a certain same way, and they are in the majority, and/or loud enough, that that's the way it is? Really. That does seem to be the zeitgeist around now in this politically incendiary moment in the Presidential election of 2024 in the US of A. Smacks of more than a bit of proto-totalitarian mentality. The majority rules does not mean the majority gets to lord it over the minority. But, it seems, when you 're cock-sure-right-as-rain, then maybe you do in fact get to lord it over. [Funny how the oh-so righteous politically are dead set against the boogeyman potential dictator when their righteousness gives every indication itself of becoming that very same thing they purport to abhor.]

It's a "loosey goosey" world someone once told me. Yet another example, by the way, of some asshole or other telling me how things are when I was an asshole telling how things should be. Alas, one man's garbage is another man's Prune Danish. One man's supposed celebration of who knows what-the-fuck — diversity? — is another man's blasphemy.

Surely the ones who staged that spectacle had to know there would very likely be a rather expected interpretation of the little convo Our Savior had with His bruhs. No? Really! So, my read is that there was a little stick-it-up-your-ass going on there. And, by the looks of the group, probably some actual such sticking it up after the tableau. But, hey, that's okay. We live in an anything-goes, relativistic post-modern world. If you don't like it, then there's something wrong with you! I wanna be me! Don't tell me how I should be. What am I, you ask? Just what you see; nothing more. Certainly what I say I am. Really? So, if I'm feeling a little girly so I can use the ladies locker room? Fuck all those Perennial sages who talk about the Eternal Supreme Reality and the evanescence of the changeful transitory reality and dream essence of the world. I' m getting mine... and, now! And, ladies in the locker room, check what I got out under my towel!

Here we are, in the "dictatorship of relativism". Pope Benedict XVI addressed this some time ago as Cardinal and Dean of the College of Cardinals.

Exerpts from ...

Homily of His Eminence Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger
Vatican Basilica
Monday 18 April 2005

" ... relativism, that is, letting oneself be "tossed here and there, carried about by every wind of doctrine", seems the only attitude that can cope with modern times. We are building a dictatorship of relativism that does not recognize anything as definitive and whose ultimate goal consists solely of one's own ego and desires.

"All people desire to leave a lasting mark. But what endures? Money does not. Even buildings do not, nor books. After a certain time, longer or shorter, all these things disappear. The only thing that lasts forever is the human soul, the human person created by God for eternity.

"The fruit that endures is therefore all that we have sown in human souls: love, knowledge, a gesture capable of touching hearts, words that open the soul to joy in the Lord. So let us go and pray to the Lord to help us bear fruit that endures. Only in this way will the earth be changed from a valley of tears to a garden of God."

*Was Jesus having fun?
