𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐙𝐞𝐢𝐭𝐠𝐞𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐈𝐧 𝐚 𝐍𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥 ... "𝐈'𝐦 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐨𝐰"

It's getting close to the 2024 Presidential election. The two dominant party candidates are sitting Vice President Kamala Harris for the Democrats and former President Donald Trump for the Republicans.

As has become the pivotal political point in recent elections, Democracy is at stake. Doomsday, apocalypse level. Depending on whichever candidate you favor, the other one is gonna take us to hell in a handbasket. Some would also say that's where they both will steer the ship of state. Don't ask me to sort that one out. Way above my pay grade.

As you may also have heard, there's a lot of killing going on in the world. Mass scale. Some would call it "genocide". We await the results of a thorough investigation to determine whether that in fact is the case. Rather than argue over genocide or no genocide, let's at least acknowledge that there's a lot of souls being slaughtered. By God's Chosen Ones no less. Oy! I won't try to sort out the history of that ... that would be anti-Semitic.

So it goes on whether the mass dying from war and famine is just an item on the news, or whether this situation is now something that we cannot any longer tolerate, and something must be done. Beyond the haggling over who's right and who's wrong in this carnage.

Recently candidate Harris was at a rally when protesters interrupted ...

The Hill reports:

Demonstrators in the crowd at Harris’s Detroit rally repeatedly shouted out as the vice president spoke to an airplane hangar packed with supporters, “Kamala, Kamala you can’t Hide, we won’t vote for genocide.” The crowd booed and drowned out the protesters with chants of “Kamala.”

“I’m here because we believe in democracy. Everyone’s voice matters, but I am speaking now. I am speaking now,” Harris said to applause.

As protesters continued to interrupt, Harris delivered a more blunt warning.

“You know what, if you want Donald Trump to win then say that. Otherwise I’m speaking,” she said.

I'll leave it to you what to think about that. Hurray for the Girl Boss? Callous slick political poser? Add your own take in the comments section.

Here's a parable:

"Taking Care of the Business at Hand"

I went to pick up a take out Pizza. On the way out of the Pizzeria a man came up to me. He was haggard, in tatters, dirty, emaciated, barely standing. "Hey mister, could you help me get a bite to eat?" Me: "I see your plight, but I have to get home right away so the Pizza doesn't get cold."
